X Boat 95 Fractional Rig

X Boat 95 Fractional Rig

Description

The X-95 (also known as the X Boat 95 Fractional Rig or X-95 Frac) is a lively fractional sloop-rigged (7/8 or similar) performance cruiser-racer designed by Niels Jeppesen for X-Yachts of Denmark. Produced from 1982 to 1988 as the third model in the yard’s early lineup, it was a scaled-down evolution of the successful X-102, optimized for the popular Half Ton class; the boat won the World Championship for production half-tonners in 1983. A total of 153 hulls were built. It features fiberglass construction with a fin keel and spade rudder, delivering stiff, responsive handling with excellent upwind performance and a good power-to-weight ratio.
